Missionary Trip to Liberia
A mission team from First Baptist Church of Pensacola (Florida) and Holston Creek Baptist Church (South Carolina) served at Light Evangelism Ministries, Fendell, Liberia, led by Mark Dahn. While there, medical supplies were re-stocked at the clinic, which helped the clinic staff provide continued medical treatment to the community. Team members also worked alongside the LEM school staff with the students (proctoring final exams and teaching crafts, including making salvation bracelets).
A community night was also organized where Bible stories (in cartoon format) was shown. The theme that night was Jesus is the Light of the World (John 8:12). With funding provided by FBCP, a shipping container of supplies, primarily sport and recreation, was sent in advance of the team’s arrival. The LEM staff and leadership will be using those supplies to repair and add to playground equipment, build basketball and volleyball courts, and tetherball poles for the school children attending LEM.
